We bought Steel Appeal back in 2007 on the Algarve coast. we eventually moved on to her full-time in 2011 to start an epic adventure and new way of life, where we sailed thousands of miles and visited and lived in many different amazing countries.
Steel Appeal is a steel monohull 36 foot, Van de Stadt, Seal design. She was built in 1992 and commissioned in 1993' She is a British part 1 registered yacht with her hailing Port registered to Cardiff.
She is an ocean-ready cruising boat and has recently had a major refit and upgrades to ensure continued upkeep and maintenance of her. She is a very strong boat and has always looked after us, we have often thought we felt like we were standing on our own little island with her.

Guatemala is a central American country with huge mountain ranges making this an excellent place to stay safe during the hurricane season.
Rio Dulce is also a great starting point to sail the Caribbean oceans or to get to Panama if you want to sail the Pacific ocean.
